Vincent loves everybody in his life. Even the ones that he doesn't see that much, like our Maryland crew. But this particular dude holds a special place in his heart. He loves his uncle Allen.
Talking about the stars...
"Go way, mama."
Such good buddies. :0)

He's not a baby anymore...
Well, it happened. My little baby became a climbing monkey boy. I should have seen it coming yesterday since Vincent was climbing all over the playroom at my mom's house. But I thought, no... He wouldn't... He is very content to go night-night in his crib. It actually started like this when we got home yesterday.
I asked Vincent if he wanted to take a bath. When I went in the bathroom after stepping to his room for a second, this is what I found.
Then he proceeded to scale up a box sitting beside his crib, get in there (just to get his paci), then hiked his leg back over. That's when I stopped him! I was standing there watching the whole time in awe. Yes, I could have stopped him before he really got started. But I figured I would see exactly what he was able to do so I would know and figure out what to do from there. Luckily, we have one of those cool cribs that goes to a toddler bed just by taking the front off. In less than five minutes, we had him a "big boy bed". And I have to say, he did really good. Never got up out of bed. Only cried for a minute when I closed the door. And doing good tonight also. I am guessing this is probably the "honeymoon" period and I am going to be eating these words in a few days. So, I will savor these two nights at least and we will see what happens! These are some pictures I took of him before he went to bed tonight.
OH HOW I LOVE THIS KID!

A Woman in Prayer
Ephesians 4:29 - Do not let any unwholesomeness talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Whew! God is scolding me! I have been struggling with this for quite a while now. Feeling like God is trying to change my heart about it. My philosophy on this is that if the statement is true, then it is not gossiping... it is just simply truth. And sometimes you just gotta let it out so it doesn't eat you up! So, then Imight vent and convince myself it is okay to do that. After I think about the conversation that I had (might have started/but definitely egged on...), I feel completely guilty. That is not the devil. That would be God saying to me "HELLO! What are you doing???". Maybe not in those exact words. :0) So, my prayer is this:
Dear Lord,
Please help me to keep my mouth closed unless I can speak good to others. And help me to not participate in the tearing down of other people, even if true. It will not do any good or change the person by talking about them. And it only makes others involved angrier. Help me to lift up those I get frustrated with in prayer. Only you can change people's hearts. Also, help me to remember that I too have flaws. Thank You for your patience and forgiveness.
Amen.

I Feel Like a Woman!
Being that I am a mom who gets up at 4:30am most week days, I am usually wearing the -I'm so exhausted I am going to wear jeans and a sweatshirt possibly with my hair pulled up in a ponytail- look. This is how my family sees me dressed at least 50% of the time...
So, thanks to my sister I am learning how to buy clothes at a reasonable (and sometimes downright cheap!) price. I am learning how to "thrift". Never really thought I would find anything I would like at a thrift store. But I hardly ever buy myself any clothes because everything is too darn expensive these days. So, I gave it a chance and found this cute little jacket that I adore!
This one jacket made me feel like a woman again. So, thanks to the lady who gave this up. Also, thanks to my sis at iseekwithallmyheart.blogspot.com for sharing all the wonderful and creative ways to pull outfits together! Can't wait to see what other treasures I will find!

Toy Story
For those of you who don't know Vincent that well, he is a Toy Story nut! The first thing he says in the morning is "Buzz", "Woody" as he is showing them to you. He continues to do that all day long. And let me just say that he literally has 5 different Buzz Lightyear dolls and about 4 Woody dolls. Then some of the other characters that he is starting to come to love as well. So, for his birthday we took him to see Toy Story 3 on ice. He loved it!
Then for his birthday party I bet you will never guess what the theme was...
Then he got lots of Toy Story presents! So, I think Vincent definitely had a wonderful birthday. Oh yeah, but he still wouldn't eat the cake... I don't know why the icing freaks him out so much. So, he ended up with it on his face because someone put it there. :0)

My New Year's Resolution...
...starting a little late. I am letting Vincent's website go. And I am sad, but it costs money and this blog is free. So, I decided I am going to use this at LEAST once a week just for Vincent. With a pic and a cute story. That will be easy because he does AT LEAST 20 cute things a day! :0) Then maybe I will post more during the week about me. So, here's to taking time out to do some blogging and loving it!
